Avatar the Last Airbender - “Sozin’s Comet”
ByNickelodeon aired the final four episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender as the movie, Sozin’s Comet. The titles of the final four episodes are: “The Phoenix King,” “The Old Masters,” “Into the Inferno,” and “Avatar Aang.”
In the first episode, Zuko is training Aang hard on firebending. After the training, the group (minus Zuko) decide to have a beach party. Zuko becomes infuriated and starts attacking Aang to “teach him a lesson.” After things calm down and everyone is able to talk, it’s discovered that assumptions had been made on both sides. Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, and Suki had decided to wait until after the comet to invade the Fire Nation and take on the Fire Lord. Since they hadn’t told Zuko, he thought the original plan was still in place… especially, since the comet’s arrival was only three days away. Zuko tells the others that if they wait until after the comet arrives, it will be too late. Zuko shares what he learned at the war council meeting earlier that season; the Fire Lord intends to destroy the Earth Kingdom and create a new kingdom out of the ashes, and making himself the ruler of this new kingdom. After learning this news, the plan returns to trying to invade before the comet arrives. Aang, however, is having second thoughts about taking on the Fire Lord, and he hears a strange sound that beckons him to come to an island he sees in the ocean. Momo ends up following him. Meanwhile, Fire Lord Ozai is heading on his way to begin the invasion of the Earth Kingdom, and tells Azula that she will not be coming with him. At first, Azula is very upset. But, after Ozai tells her that he is now the “Phoenix King,” she will now be the Fire Lord.
